★ Mezzanine racking system is to build two or more layers of racks on the existing industry premises or racks to increase the storage space. It can be built as a two- or three- floors racking system, which is suitable for storing light and small or medium-sized goods with large or many kinds and small stocks. Goods are usually loaded by forklifts, hydraulic lifting platforms or elevators to the second and third floors, then sent to a defined cargo space by trolleys or hand trucks.
★ This kind of racks always use a medium- or heavy-duty shelving system as the main structure combined with support floor panels (rack type selecting depends on the total loading weight of rack unit). Bottom rack can be a variety of medium- and heavy-duty racks, not for storing goods only, but also as a support of upper layers, equipped with stairs, handrails and electric lifting platforms, etc., the floor panels are normally hot-rolled steel panel, steel tread plates or gratings. With a lighting system, much easier to access and management goods.
