★ A kind of warehouse racking for the purpose of carrying goods on pallets. Each pallet is a cargo space, so it is called pallet rack or cargo rack. Pallet rack is a simple, safe and reliable structure mainly composed of frame and beam. Different specifications can be selected depends on pallet load weight, pallet dimension, available storage area, forklift lifting height and other constraints.
★ When selecting a pallet rack, the size, weight, number of layers of pallets and goods determines the appropriate size of upright and beam. In addition, in order to improve the space utilization, the width of aisle can be reduced to be used with a very narrow aisle forklift or stacker, which can realize the storage space to be verticalized density, we call that VNA (very narrow aisle) pallet rack.
★ Compared with shuttle racking system, use pallet racks to increase overall square meter requirements by 40% (consider of needs more aisles for forklift operation). But it can directly access to each pallet, also cost per pallet position is lower, (about 30% less than shuttle racks), only it takes more floor space. Pallet rack is the most widely applicated rack in the industry.
